The date for this year’s Moss Avenue Sale & Festival is Saturday, June 7th. Save the date postcards went out the first of February and applications will be sent out in late March. As always, we can use people for block captains and various help for the sale, so if you would like to volunteer, please give me a call.
Last year’s sale was one of our most successful and we would like to repeat and exceed the success of last year. Our success is largely dependent on the generosity of the homeowners in allowing us to use their property for dealer space. When contacted, please consider saying yes and letting us use your property. With the addition of live music and fine arts, we have broadened the appeal of our sale and have attracted a wider demographic. We also have established a Facebook page, which has attracted new dealers and new attendees to our event. We have over 1000 “likes” at this point!
Remember, this is the only fundraiser that our organization has and the funds raised go for a variety of neighborhood improvements/events – planting on corners, greens on lamp posts at the holidays, July 4th celebration and the annual holiday party to name a few.
